My radio display has been on the fritz for a while. Now it's gone black and won't come back. I've checked the fuses and no luck. Should I just get an aftermarket replacement for the whole radio? If so which would you recommend?

It's really all about what you want. If you are happy with the stock radio, you could try locating a used, direct replacement on Ebay or in a salvage yard. Or, you could send your radio out for repair at a place like here:

Williams Electronics: Nissan car stereo repairs

Replacement Radios: OEM car radios. Factory stereo repair. Discount prices.

However, if you are looking for something newer with updated features and more power, there are a number of options. I highly recommend Crutchfield for their great service and sales help. Selection is very good, with a feature that helps you pick components to fit your vehicle and their prices are fair. They also usually send you any harness adapters, spacers and instructions at no cost with their radios and speakers and free tech support, if you should need it:
