New member. 200,000 miles on my 2002 xe crew cab. Someone stole the tailgate a couple of weeks ago and I found this site searching for a replacement tailgate. Hopefully I can get advice if I ever need to do things like find a tailgate for less than the $500 a local salvage yard wants; change the number 6 sparkplug that I do every 90,000 miles withoug tearing up my hand (I know it's going to hurt and tear up my hand, but ya just grin and bear it); get tips on replacing blower motor after I finally get tired of hitting it with a wooden block every week or so when it decides not to blow; eventually find out what the creaking sound is developing in my front end.

Yeah, but I can live with the occassional "blower bump." In 200,000 miles, my repairs have consisted of: two sets of plugs, one fuel filter, one fuel pump, replace the evaporator coil with a $75 one from a salvage yard, and a new fan clutch. No labor, just a lot of cussing, and a few scraped knuckles. I will definitely buy Nissan again next time.

Welcome! 200,000 what a great way to let others know that these trucks DO last a long time. Whatever question you can ask there is someone here with the correct answer and usually a how to or pictorial showing how to fix it.
Many on here have way more miles to roll to get anywhere near you.

I'm in search for a another vehicle I just sold my ranger which was a piece of crap by the way and I'm looking at a 2000 nissan frontier and a 2000 nissan frontier desert runner. The regular frontier has 178K miles on it and the desert runner has a little over 210K on it. I'm just worried about a head cracking or something really expensive happening to it that will cause it to sit and leave me without a way to go. That's the only thing that worries me is the high mileage not just on those 2 but any car. I just need help getting this worry out of my head and just trust it, knowing they are good vehicles instead of worrying about whether Its gonna blow up or not. What's yalls opinion on it?
