I am considering doing a 2" leveling kit, adding wheel spacers, and a little bit bigger tire to my truck. I don't have a 4x4, so I don't want to fake the funk, but I would like to give it a little tougher look. I was reading a recent thread hunterdan posted about his daystar kit, and I have a few questions of my own from reading his post and replies:
1. One of the questions asked was if he noticed any wheel rub. I thought a lift was supposed to help this situation, not hinder it. Am I wrong in that thinking? He is still running stock tires, so I would have imagined tire clearance would have improved, not the other way around. One of the reasons I would want to do a 2" leveling kit was to run a slightly bigger tire. I've read that a 265/75/16 was the tire size to run without more of a lift.
2. Do wheel spacers cause the axle to sag? I remember all the idiots back in the day with wide rims on their cars making the axle sag eventually. Now I'm only talking a 1" or 1.5" spacer from wheel adapter dot com, but if there is any risk of that happening then I'll skip it. I'm sure I would have read that on here if it did happen, but I just wanted to make sure.
