I just purchased a 2002 frontier two-wheel drive 2.4 l it was in a small accident bumped the front end into a wall after the body work and getting it running I found out the first intake (resonator?) box was lost during the accident I bought a new sensor and plugged it into the pigtail which was intact and tested fine but it keeps throwing the code I just have it mounted in the tube which leads to the air filter.

My question is do I have to find that intake box or is there a simple way to deintaklete it completely?

What's the code? P0112, P0113?

You can access how to test THE IAT sensor by downloading the EC.PDF section of the free FSM.

Here's the link.

This is a excerpt from the FSM.

I know after smashing my front end 2 different times, both times i had to make sure that sensor was securely in that little piece of plastic tubing and roundabouts where it needs to be. honestly, its still zip tied in place lol. in my experiences its imperative for that sensor to be in its correct area.
