Jet has a programmer for 1st generation frontiers now.( JET V-Force Plus Performance Module Part #: 67028) It isnt plug and play. It has to be wired in Has anyone tried it yet? If so ,does it work well,or at all ?

Looking at the applications chart on JET's website for that module it states 1990-2008 Model: All w/ a 6 cyl. engine for that part number. VFORCE Plus - JET Performance Products, Import & Domestic Performance, Performance Kits, Fuel Systems, Transmissions

No wonder it's not plug and play. I don't think I would exactly call that "for" our trucks. Can't see it working the best.

What ever happened to Superchips wanting to do one?
I called them last week. You have to send them your ECU along with a list of modifications. Several hundred miles on the ECU after the mods, and they send it back to you. At least I think it was jet. I called and or emailed every tuner I could find on this board.

I only got one worthwhile response, the one referenced above.
The V-Force seems like another Scangauge yet it has to be hardwired.

I still believe the only real options for the 1st gens are a JET reprogramming in which you send your ECU to them and they load in a new canned tune.

Other options require that you swap in a different ECU and that they do a complete custom job from there. Maybe a z32 ECU or something along those lines (basically anything with a VG motor for the most part).

The topic of this thread is the V-Force programmer. What you're talking about is the service they offer in which they reprogram your ECU. No worries, however if you want my opinion on that, Pretty impractical. Change any of your mods, you'd have to have it reprogrammed. I don't even think anyone on here has had it done.

I can only think of 1 member that has done it and they say they like it but there are no dyno numbers.
