1st gen frontier question

hi, i am looking at getting a Pioneer AVH-P5200DVD for my 2002 desert runner. but when i look to see if having a flip out monitor will work. im not sure since nissan made it so the radio sits back like 1.5" with the aftermarket radio kit. and i am wondering if any body that has a 1st gen has a in-dash flip out monitor. thank you.
