A while ago one of my rear fender flares got ripped off by some dirtbag who didn't know how to park. So now I've got the pleasure of trying to hunt down a part that was manufactured no less than 10 years ago and probably even farther back than that. I know, this probably has about 50 hits in the search. The problem is that all those threads are at least 5 years old and the sources no longer sell the parts (courtesy and rockauto do not sell them anymore). So I'm resurrecting the question.

I've found a few sources on google
Has anyone had experience ordering stock parts from www.factorynissanparts.net? They seem to have the parts and will ship at a decent rate.

If that doesn't pan out, is there a proven aftermarket that will work?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this is the part you're looking for but if it is they're way cheaper than I was expecting coming from the Nissan Parts website:
Nissan Frontier (1998-2000). #638108B400: Fender Flare. Wheel flare.

How does it look under the fender flare!? I was considering taking mine off a while back but I was worried about holes or something in the fender and just that it would look real dumb!

There are holes in the fender for the clips that sit under the caps that look like they're bolt caps.

Exactly. Theres about 8 of them, white plastic. They look silly IMO. I'll try to get a picture later.

It seems I forgot to mention this is for the rear wheels. I always worry about the third party sites that don't specify the "short bed" fender flares. I may have to call and ask.

Check out Car-Part.Com It's just an online junkyard database. Most of those places will send you a pic of the item if you request and they'll ship it to you. They rate the parts from good to bad on an A-D rating so you get an idea if its a good part before you make the call.

Plus you can paint them. I just pulled all 4 of mine off and painted them black with some Duplicolor Trim Paint. The stuff with FadeX technology in it. It has a texture to it which i think is much better than the regular Trim n Bumper paint. Its simple to paint these things and they will look great.

Yeah, I forgot about those. Somebody posted that link in here a couple years ago and I saved it. Too bad they dont customize them and paint them for whatever color code you want.

Getting ready to do this, just wondering did you use clear coat after painting or just use the Duplicolor paint?

No Clear Coat bc I Wanted a Flat Black Look. If you want a glossy look then use a clear coat. Just Clean, Use a good Adhesion Promoter, then Paint.

Get The BULLDOG stuff. That Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter sucks. It'll work but you have to use a lot of it.I found out that hard way that if you dont use enough the paint will start flaking after 3-6 months. With the BullDog you immediatley tell a difference in how much more tacky it is and don't have to use near as much. Oreiley's sells the BullDog. I've always just gotten it there. Hope that helps

They're the 4x4 style Flares. So they will fit any 4cyl 4x4, any v6 4x4, v6 Crew Cabs, and Desert Runners. Not sure the DR's were even out before 2001 though but yes any 4cyl 4x4 i would imagine they would fit.

Didn't think about it til you said anything but I wonder if they'll even fit a Crew Cab bc the Crew Cabs have a different rear flare bc of the truck bed. 2000 was the 1st year for a CC and they only came in a short bed that i'm aware of

They look a lot smaller than my 4x4 style flares.

So these won't work on a CC? Are the cc and LB flares different?

Never mind I just read that these are only for the early frontiers with square headlights

yes mine are painted red from the factory though i need to take them off and paint them, they look really bad
I take it that they are an optional item. Pay extra for the paint job or they are molded to the factory color.

I know this is an old post but... I did the junglefenderflares a couple years, hate em. They come gloss black, some holes aren't there and others are off from stock. The seals are junk too. If you use them, have to get them painted or bed-lined, make sure to scuff and prime first! Then probably use the black door edge protector from Pep Boys to go over the edge that touches the truck. They are thin and flimsy and wave in the wind when you drive down the road. Was a pain to get the fit as well.

Lastly, they are out of SE Asia somewhere, I want to say the Philippines, so no turning back that $300 purchase later either!
