Guessing none are truly compatible, but possibly customizable.
Will suggest also searching/researching whether a Gen 1 Kingcab topper will work just as well? Guessing it will(?).

I searched the forums and didn't find anything, so sorry if this has been answered before.
I want to do a 2" lift, crank the T bars and do AAL's in the back, but I'm not seeing AAL kits anywhere except eBay. Does anyone have experience with these?

Painting My Fender + Fender Flares

Hello All, I am planning on re-painting my Front Fender and Fender Flares this weekend I have decided to go with Krylon Fusion Satin Black, however it has been painted once before by the previous owner. Should I go sand the areas down with some 600 Grit before I re-paint them? Sorry if it is a dumb question I just want to make sure I do a thorough Job and it looks Clean.

I used Krylon Fusion on the front of my 1988 Mazda truck, looks good.
Here, painted lower parts including ends; before I painted the upper part.

After

I'd say if your existing paint has stuck/adhered well, then paint over it, smooth it down with wet/dry if you like.

2 questions
1. Does anyone make a whole new leaf pack with 3in of lift for the 1st Gens? Couldn't find anything while searching online.

I'm interested in getting the AC (4x4parts.com) UCA's, crank thetorsion bars and possibly the .5" ball joint spacer up front.
AC said that I could pair their 3 pack AAL (link below) to my existing very saggy leaf springs, but from other recommendations I've found on here, I think I'd just be asking for it to wear out the AAL prematurely. My leaf springs actually do a W with the sag (picture attached), but if people think the AAL will work just fine, I'm open to suggestions. 4x4 Parts - Frontier Articulator Suspension Package With Bilstein Shocks NSPACFT4WD6ARTBIL - Your #1 Source for Nissan Aftermarket Parts! (about 5in of lift in the back, AC said)

If no one makes a new pack with 3in of lift, my next option would be to get the medium duty leaf pack (1.5in lift),
4x4 Parts - Frontier Medium Duty Rear Lift Leaf Pack SPLEAFPKFTMED - Your #1 Source for Nissan Aftermarket Parts!
Plus the revolver shackles (another 1.75in lift)

AC said the single AAL that they sell does not fit their new leaf pack, which I thought was strange.

2. Has anyone bought their new leaf pack and added a different AAL to give it about 3 in of lift?

EDIT: Thank you for the suggestion @smj999smj.
Found a spring shop near me and got two new leaf packs with 3in of lift for $425 total. A little more than I wanted, but it did the trick.

You could always find a spring shop in your area and have them make you a set of leaf springs for your truck with a 3" lift, if that what you want. . It's probably not as expensive as you would think.

I am a newbie here with a question here. Does anyone know if anyone still sells, or ever did, skid plates for the long bed crew cab model? I have noticed my truck is quite a bit longer than most of the 1st Gen Frontiers or Xterras. So I don't know if the standard size skid plates would work. Can anyone here can help me out please?

There may be other options but this is the only one I know of.

Is my stock 02 frontier totally metric?
Should be. I haven't found anything non-metric on these EXCEPT for seat belt bolts (7/16" x 20 by agreement) and wheel diameters (15", 16", etc.).

Since my old photos disappeared, here is using Krylon Fusion All-in-One on the front grille of my 1998 this last weekend

I chose to stick with 32's for tires because honestly, the 32" tire is probably the best bet, especially for new guys.... With a lift, 33's will work, but most people that wheel and lift, don't keep stock rims, and they chose a wider offset. so when off road, the 33's can rub... hell.... I've had my 32's rub when i was only 2-2.5" of lift... So i figued if people are experienced enough with modding there rigs, they will know what they can and can not fit, but for new guys to this, its safer to give a realistic expectation that they can do a small lift and 32's with no real issues...

as for shackles.... Lots of the blame doesn't go to the shackles, but more so the weak leaf packs our trucks come with... I think more of it comes from the fact that once we lift, we also start wheeling, and start trying to flex our trucks out as often as we can.... and that in itself is more likely to be the reason they flatten out... because at that point, we are stressing the already weak leaf packs even more...... I think i hit on the AAL's are the best, but shackles create more flex thing though... which is true....

WHERE ARE MY BODY LIFT GUYS????????? Houdini, NismoGone... somebody...

anybody want to add anything, or help me out on the technical side of anything????

Also a vote? are you guys happy with me choosing the 31-32" tire as the suggested top end tire size? based on the reasoning i gave? I want to make sure this is not only MY OPINION, but truthful info....
I run 33's on zero lift, rubs under hard right and hitting a bump and thats it

Hey all new here. Looking for several things. Not easy to find. But I have an 04 frontier XE long bed. Any good sites for me to check out? I seen real truck.com had some stuff but nothing I’m looking for.

4x4parts.com is still in business.
RuggedRocks.com (Steve is his name, I think...) is still around.

What are you looking for specifically?
