the 10 in the OPs post requires .6^ft sealed box. thats NOT going to fit under the front passenger seat. now, under the rear seat, sure, it should fit with no problems.

Ive got a 10" JL that's recommended for .65 cubic feet in a .55 box. I think it sounds good. It actually punches a little harder due to the smaller airspace, but it does not have sufficient air volume to hit some of the real low tones like it could in my old box.

Polyfill inside the box will help to some degree.

you can put it in a slightly smaller box and polyfill will help but you can only go so small and only use so much poly. i doubt you will come anywhere near the correct space needed for the sub. your going to lose a lot of the low end. do you have a KC or a CC?

Why don't you just build the box a little bigger so it is closer to the recommended airspace and put it behind the seat? You can still put stuff on top of it and maybe even make a box/storage rack kinda thing. Unless you use the jumpseats a lot...

what kind of wood working skills do you have OP? you can build a box that wont take up to much room and you should be able to use your rear seats when needed.

How much smaller? You can compinsate for a smaller internal volume enclosure with POLLY FILL. But not too much.

Box dimensions are going to depend on what the subs need for airspace and then the space you have to work with
