Is it necessary to disconnect the brake lines from their mounting points with 1.5" blocks in the rear?

Jack up your truck and see if the line are streched at full drop.

I don't think that you will need to do anything with 1.5" blocks

I have 2" blocks and have not unclipped them. Downward travel is limited by the stock shocks. I will be going to 3" blocks and bilsteins on the rear that's when I will do mine.

Yeah, I figured out when I put the blocks in that the shock limited down travel. Thanks though!

I have 3" with custom springs. When I started looking for shocks I found that 99 ford ranger off road edition shocks are 3" longer than stock frontier and almost a bolt on. The lower bolt hole is a tad smaller, 1/2" I believe. I just bought new grade 8 bolts.

Ride quality is very good. No oddities such as a jittery rear end when on rough roads, nor with off roading.
