i want to get one of the aftermarket offraod bumpers, but it seems to me you have to cut the stock bumper to get it to fit...is this true? it looks like the stock bumper is one piece and it does go up the front fender a bit....

Well if you have the XE yeah... The XE has a one piece stock bumper, but not if you have the other models... I may be wrong on this though... I'm picturing the LE being a one piece also...

^^^ he's got a pro4x which means 09+ model. i'm pretty darn sure they have a one piece bumper since it's body color painted. so OP, you are correct. for your particular model you will need to cut the bumper where the line is to fit an aftermarket bumper. or you can find the upper bumper from a 2 piece setup. the headlights look different but i think they are the same shape so you could probably find one off of any 05+ fronty that would work, just get it painted to match and sell your one piece bumper to someone who wants one.

This is 100% correct. The 2009 - 2010 Pro4X's are the one piece bumper and you'll need to cut. Technically, anyone who runs the ARB will need to cut their bumper a little if they follow the ARB directions exactly to the letter. Certain 2009 models, and I assume 2010's, have the two piece...

You can order just the top piece new and have it painted. I do not know if there are extra supports you'll need however.

chuck a body lift in, cut the Pro 4x bumper to fit the new one, while leaving the bumper in the stock location (better for a winch or pulling). then no body gap.
