I have grease all over the left rear caliper, inboard side of the rotor, parking break shoes ect. I turned the wheels and there is no noise to indicate a bad wheel bearing so I think it's just the seal. Has anyone else had this problem, if so was it more than the seal? Has anyone changed this seal? Do I have to remove the bearings to get to the seal or is the seal located in front of the bearing. Basicially, can anyone give me directions on how to replace the seal?
Thanks in advance for your expert advice.

Please have a mod remove your other 2 threads in the other sections.

Then I would suggest that you download the FSM from the sticky. I believe the bearing is infront of the seal so when you replace the seal, the bearing needs replacing too.

P.S. It is a common issue on the m226. Make sure you do the axle vent mod to prevent this from happening again. It is also a DIY sticky.
