Hello. We have an '04 Nissan Frontier 4-door that my wife has backed into a pole and crushed the pass side of the rear bumper. Instead of getting a factory replacement, it would look real nice to get a tubular rear bumper that matched in color (gray) and design to the OEM factory side step-rail tubes that are already on the truck. I have looked and can't seem to find anything like that available. Any recommendations?

Also, if no rear bumpers are made like I am looking for, what are your recommendations, part numbers, etc for where/what to get for an OEM rear bumper replacement to just get a new one black back on there that matches the original?

About us: We had a '00 2-door SE that my wife wanted to trade in for four doors. Now we have the '04 XE 4-door. Both have been fine trucks. I drive a Dodge Durango and have been very active on the owners club site/forum for it. It is nice to see an equally as active site for the Frontier if and when needed.

Thank you in advance for your assitance.

here is a black prerunner rear bumper for $200 at www.4x4parts.com
Thanks for the quick reply. That one is a little to agressive for her. I had another recommendation for these which are alot like you mentions: http://www.purenissan.com/rear_tube_bumper.htm

My wife mentioned somthing that really looked like it matched the OEM step sides would be great, or just go back to what is on there already.

Any other ideas?

Go get one done. ie. ..A fab shop, not only can you decide what type of material you want used you can also put your own input on the design. My tubed bumper cost me roughly $250 to get made.
