So, I had decided, that I had to have a rack on my 03 XE.
I found an 01 X-terra rack @ the salvage yard, and cut it down to fit my KC.
We welded new "legs" adding the 2" in height to compensate for the x-terra's
roof slope,and I got new torx hardware from nissan. I painted it a darker gun-metal gray, and then installed it last week.

What do you think?

Electric blue I think it's called? I think I have almost run the spectrum w/t my Nissan trucks. hmm, 8 rigs since my 1st in 87.....red,silver,green,red/silver(two-tone),green again,red again,white and now blue. all KC's all 4x4 I really wanted a CC so, I guess that's why I had to have the rack? it's not that functional for storage(I know) But It helps keep that new synthetic wood (20 footers) from flopping on my roof now!

I was going to paint the lumber rack the same (when it gets a bit warmer),as it was....I disassembled the rack and painted it inside my condo )^:

Cuz, it was too @#%&y out a few weeks ago...

The lumber rack is an old school Vanguard (powder coated) I think it will have to be sandblasted first?
