Not bad.

I'm really struggling with not hopping the motor up and going the forced induction route.

I had a very fast truck before this, so it has been quite an adjustment. I think I should stick to the adventure themed build, and then get a two seater sports car. . .and more motorcycles.

The answer is always more toys. . .right?

i so understand what you mean, i came from a fast car too. used to have a CBR too. this truck feels really underpowered. i can't find anyone who makes a supercharger for it any more. nothing on the stillen site... do you know of a company?

i'd love to test my 0-60 but i'm still in 1500 mi break in. i'm hauling a canopy that's probably 200 lbs so it'll probably take me 9 damn seconds and then i'll CRY. i kind of don't want to know how slow it is. lol

The flat out last thing that matters with my truck is time trials. My Titan had guts but it wasn’t a race vehicle either.

2017, 1200 miles, SV 4x4 with SV truck package.

lol break in? come on, the best way to break it in, "is" to put load on her. Let her rip a few times, truth be told there really is no break in period on modern cars anymore.

I think the truck is pretty powerful though. I also have a k6 gsxr 1000

ha ha says the guy with the SRT8. if i still had a fast car too, i wouldn't care how dog slow a truck is either, but when it's your only ride and you are used to POWER, it takes getting used to!

i hear you, but this is the only vehicle ive ever bought new, and i usually drive pretty hard anyway, so i'm trying hard to be kind to it.

the manually actually says (Pasting from manual)

CAUTION
During the first 1,200 miles (2,000 km),
follow these recommendations to obtain
maximum engine performance and ensure
the future reliability and economy of your
new vehicle. Failure to follow these rec-
ommendations may result in shortened
engine life and reduced engine
performance.

Avoid driving for long periods at constant
speed, either fast or slow, and do not run the
engine over 4,000 RPM.

Do not accelerate at full throttle in any gear.

Avoid quick starts.

Avoid hard braking as much as possible.

Do not tow a trailer for the first 500 mi
(805 km). Your engine, axle or other parts
could be damaged.

You may not believe it but on the highway to Florida I looked down at the speedometer and the truck was showing about 92 so I took it up to 101 and let go. My Challenger has never been over 90 and the magazine claims from when I bought it almost six years ago were as high as 184 mph, I’ll take their word for it. My kids give me a hard time about not really putting my foot in it. Yes I’ve launched it but let off quickly, it still looks like the day I bought it and trying to keep it that way, almost six years old and just about 10,000 on it now. Car was washed when delivered by the dealer and only once by me, it gets dusted and detailed when taken out and then again when put away.
No, it doesn’t get driven like it should.

A friend of mine drove my Dodge after I installed the Bullydog. I set it on the middle setting(120 hp at the rear wheel).
After he drove the truck, he said” this truck is f—-king dangerous! This is from a guy who has a turbocharged Chevy small block in his trans am.
Well, it is only dangerous if you constantly jump on it.
If you don’t , it drives like a normal truck.
It is nice to know it is there if you need it.
Limiting factor in 0-60 times is the manual tranny. Same with the Frontier.

I raced some punk over in Oakland the other day coming across the bridge from Alameda..... he had a Mitsubishi lancer, he didn't think I was racing him but I definitely caught him off guard.... funny part, as knowing the streets in Oakland, I slowed down right before the hill of the bridge..... while he was still accelerating over the bridge.... the OPD was sitting right there..... lights were turned on as I passed by laughing

Nothing directly bolt on, but I figured I could junkyard one off of the gen 1, have it rebuilt and fabricate something. I have also perused the build section here and seen a few interesting things.

Still on the lookout. But I'd rather spend that money on offroad capability with this. I've got my bikes if I need to rip. Which works for now. But it was always damn hilarious to embarass the unsuspecting porsche/bmw/audi/merc crowd when they wanted to run the old truck.

****. I need more toys.

I had a 14' single cab Ram before this with the hemi. Had the 8 speed transmission with 3.92 gears. Threw on a tuner with custom tuning, longtube catless headers, Borla muffler, ram air intake, etc. Definitely miss that power and sound a bit. I will say that the frontier does feel more "torquey" off the line. Whether that is torque being available at a lower RPM or throttle calibration, I have no idea. The ram did like to rev and pulled way more on the top end especially with the headers. I don't really miss anything else about it though.

just did my friends 2011 pro-4x best time he got was 9 seconds. when we raced I did pull ahead so its probably pretty accurate.
I assume it was because two of us were in the truck and his is a pro-4x probably 200# heavier or so (roof rack, leather seats, electric seats and so on)
