History
Purchased in 2003. The Scout almost immediately started to rust through. The engine and transmission were remanufactured at Jasper Engines in 2004 but the engine installer failed to use a break-in oil and I was unware of that as well as that off the shelf oils no longer had zinc in them, a necessary anti-wear additive for flat tappet lifters. I pulled the engine in 2010 after about 20,000 miles and had it rebuilt at a local machinist shop. While there I had the rotating assembly balanced. Runs great now.
