I came across this page accidentally while I was trying to explain to someone what I was generally thinking of doing with my 2019 SV 4X4 CREW CAB. I just traded in my 2014 SV 4X2 CREW CAB because I wanted to build a fully capable vehicle with 4 wheel drive. I was blown away by your machine. I just spent a couple of hours pricing out the list of things that you have so generously listed. I cannot find a rear bumper... that's the only thing! I do not know what you paid for all of this stuff or when. I can tell you that today, with everything except for the items in the section called 'Other' I am in the ballpark of $20k USD. That is about $5k less than I had expected to spend building my own. I have a few questions I would like to ask you.
$20k is probably about right. The rear bumper was made at a local fab shop and then I took it over to a powder coat shop. Can't remember what the total was, but I think fab and coating were about $1500 or so. I've change a couple things with the comm. Got rid of the cb and went to a gmrs unit. Really no one is using cb and in 2 years I never used it. Moved the ham mobile unit over to the left of the steering wheel also. I also recently added some rubberized fender flares. The wheel offsets were causing a lot of mud to fling up the sides and I like to go down the trail with my window open. Not a great pic here, but it kind of shows the mud problem. Also a pic with the new fender flares right after I installed them. View attachment 330416 View attachment 330417 View attachment 330416

I'm running this suspension, but there are others out there that are just as good. Nissan Frontier 2005+ / Navara D40 Foam Cell Pro 2" Suspension Lift Kit - Constant Load (660-1100LBS) (ironman4x4america.com) My cap is super light and not made for a rooftop tent. If I had to guess, I'd bet it's under 100 lbs, maybe even 80. I used to have a bed rack on it and a RTT, but did away with it a couple years ago. RTT's are about 150lbs on average if not more and add a lot of weight up top, which isn't great when you're crawling over terrain. The Decked drawer slide is about 120 lbs. The Rhino Rack aluminum platforms don't add that much either. Maybe 60 to 80 lbs. The big weight is in that rear bumper. It's 1/4" steel. Add the spare tire and two full gas cans and it's easily 350 lbs if not more. 1/4" is overkill in my opinion, but I'll defer to the fab specialist. I will say, I hit a stump pretty hard when the truck slid sideways about 2 weeks ago. It moved the bumper over about a 1/2" but did not put a dent or scratch in it. With all the weight, it doesn't drive fast for sure, and I get about 12 to 13 mpg on the highway at most. Really not that bad, though, considering it only got 15 mpg without anything on it when I got it.

4 times I have been banned / reinstated... Let me know if there is another way to get this extremely useful fuel economy improvements information to you. I am not selling anything. It is free. I did a lot of research and found a good way to improve my economy by as much as 30%.
