Hi, LennyG-

The 16-inch Baja does not clear the brakes.

So I have found out, the hard way. Plenty of room for the rear brakes though. I am debating a wheel spacer solution. Ugh.

Nah, no spacers. Don't want to compromise or risk wheel bearing issues. Shame on me for not being 100% sure of the fit. Bummer cuz I love the classic look. Life is still good!!

Bummer to hear, LennyG!

I did some research and found the 16" AX201. This model has similar styling to the Baja and it is available in 16x8 with 0 offset - according to the manufacturer this wheel clears the front brakes.

Let us know if we can help you with a set.

With "proper" wheel spacers (meaning high quality known proven brands) there's nothing to worry about except correct installation method. Although I'm one of those people who prefer correct wheel spacing over fixing it with spacers, I've used spacers many times before with no issues. All the compromises with wheel spacers generally begins when the user compromises quality by buying cheap ebay spacers

For sure, quality parts especially in this application. I'm cautious for several reasons, and this truck is a daily driver that sees some freeway speeds....
