Power steering hose size

I know i saw it posted somewhere. I searched a bunch and cant find it. Just upgraded from a 02 2.4 frontier to a 04 SC crew cab. The 04 got the typical power steering leak. What are the sizes of the 2 hoses that come from the Reservoir i believe one is 3/8 thanks for the help.

The smaller hose is 0.375" and is available on the aftermarket; it's Gates # 352035 and you can get the hose for around $10 at Rockauto.com or order from your local auto parts store. The other hose is still available from Nissan for under $20; it's Nissan P/N: 49717-8Z300 (if production date is 09/2004 or later, then the # is 49717-9Z400). Both are pre-molded and I would recommend using them rather than bulk hose. It'll look and fit much better.
arjadian and arjadian like this.

Hey @smj999smj . I'm having difficulty locating a new suction hose for my truck due to it being discontinued(part # 49717-8z400). I can't even find a aftermarket replacement. Do you know of a possible replacement? I definitely would prefer to stay with a molded hose.

I had the same problem with my 2000 D/R. The hose was not available under the standard part number but had been superseded and was available. The Original part number would have cost $10.00 but the new OE replacement cost $43.00.

Yeah, a visit to a local dealership was no help at all. I think 49717-7b400 or 49717-9z400 might be a match.
