I'm going to say those would be a tough fit.. The halos and shroud seem to stick out pretty far, and both the 05-08 and 09-13 frontier headlights are very shallow. For me to fit the FX-R's I had to cut the bowl and seat the projector with the back third sticking through the reflector bowl, and even then the shrouds have clearance issues. For the TL's I'm running now, half of the projector is sticking out the back of the reflector bowl and that's without shrouds. Because I used custom made shrouds I was able to let the projector sit more forward so the lens is only about 3/4" away from the headlight lens. As far as the diameter, The 09+ lights have more room but the turn signal protrudes into the reflector a lot, so you would most likely have to cut something. For 05-08 you have plenty of width, but next to no height, so again you will have to cut something.

Hey man.. I need to pick your brain, if you don't mind.
I am planning on doing a retro sometime in the near future. I took the headlights apart on my old car (Hyundai Tiburon), but that was only to paint the inside because it already had projectors. I need your opinion on some projectors, as to if you think they will fit, and more importantly, if they will work. Here is a link to the ebay item... Dual Halo Switchback Function Universal 2 5" Retrofit Bixenon Projector Lamp Kit | eBay

My plan is to cut off the outer halo LEDs and just use the switch back portion plus the projectors, of course.
Any advice you have would be more than welcome. Thanx!!

Hey there, forgive me but I'm not sure I completely understand you question.

Which lift kits are you looking at that include new upper and lower control arms?

If it's a long travel kit then the upper and lower control arms are wider than the stock arms. The kit should still work on a 4wd but you would need longer axle shafts in the front. If the kit only comes with upper control arms then it is probably a standard travel kit that is just going to give an extra inch of down travel.

As to weather you can cut an upper to fit as a lower? No that would not work. Not at all. But if the kit is not long travel, then the new upper control arm should work perfectly with the factory lower.

Hey bud, I know you're very knowledgeable on the subject, and in getting different answers from different people. I asked about lower and upper rocker arms for the frontier, but here's the question. Why do pre-runner (2wd) lift kits cone with lower and upper control arms, but 4wd lift kits only supply upper control arms? Can lower control arms be cut to fit on 4wd fronts for support, or is that driver preference in your opinion? Thanks for your time man, please forgive my noobness!

No body lift, suspension only. And for Plasti dip, the better you clean the wheels the nicer they will come out. Any dirt will cause the dip to bubble. And spray it on thick! I did just under a full can per wheel (front and back). If you want texture then spray the last two or three coats from a few feet above and let it mist down. But that texture is the biggest pain in the @$$ to keep clean. I even gave up on cleaning my wheels now.

Hey Nate, Huge fan of your truck, I just bought a frontier and am interested in plasti dipping my wheels. Any tips or instructions on how you did it? Also I'm pretty new to the whole truck thing and love your lift. Did you do a body lift and a suspension lift?

Have any pictures of how it's mounted to the cab? Did you drill threw and bolt it or special?

so how exactly do I go about changing it? I just want it to say "Nomad's Build", nothing fancy. Having enough trouble just doing this remedial stuff : /
I've tried several things, none of which work. When I try to just highlight it and change the name it inactivates the link and when I try to right click it I don't get an option to re-name it.
    I'm on a mac btw.

    Hey Nate,
Got a question. I'm kinda weak on the forum tricks, how did you get your build link re-named in your sig? Mine just shows up as the thread link when I try.

Yeah. I flipped it upside down, then trimmed it to fit without a gap. I didn't like the big gap left behind the plate when you just flip it over. I can grab you some pics this afternoon!

I used the sealing glue from TRS, it is basically tar on a rope form. I have seen some people use RTV or silicone and it works, but it is a lot harder to remove if you ever need to do repairs.

808 is a great guy! He will get you what you want for sure. But I hear his laser is in for repairs currently. Last I heard it should be back in a few weeks.

    Hey Nate,
When you bake the front lenses to pull them apart what do you use to re-seal them? Is it something you can buy at a typical store or is it a special order item or..? Looking at doing some work (probably blacking them out) on my reflectors and probably adding some HIDs pretty soon.
Also looking at doing a custom burger so maybe I'll hit up your buddy 808. Probably gonna be closer to a stock emblem but with NOMAD instead of NISSAN
