Hi, I noticed your recent posts concerning replacing your cat on your 98 frontier. You wouldn't happen to know the part number for your replacement would you? I ordered the Walker 15678 however now I'm worried it's too long as it says it's 16.25in length but I also see that some companies make them around 12-13in... I think we both have 98 standard cab 4x4 so thought I'd ask!

    Thanks!

I found it very confusing back in 2011 when I tried to order one for my 1998 is standard cab; note that mine is 2WD; I had to just measure the gap and match up the flange type. I used Eastern Catalytic #40075 which is 12.5 inches long; here's their page for 1998 Frontier, must match up length and end fitting type Eastern Catalytic Online Parts Catalog

I do note that the listings don't seem to detail whether for 2WD, 4WD, regular cab, or King Cab, why I had to go underneath and take measurements. Since yours appears to use about 16.25 inch converter, way different that what my 2WD truck uses. I hope the one you ordered fits, but if not, it's really not your fault as very confusing and deceptive !!!

Hey Cusser, new to the Frontier forum and just noticed your avatar. Did you by any chance own a Honda Big Ruckus? And do you still have it?

Aye Cusser I just got out from underneath my rusted out mess. I did a fuel pressure check and got a reading of 17 psi haha. That son of a ***** is supposed to be at 34 or 43 I want to say without looking it up at the moment. I ordered a new fuel filter and am waiting for a call from Auto Zone to notify me it showed up.

Please disregard my last post. I got the Airbag Light to reset by using the Driver Door switch. Found it on UTube.

    Cusser,
Got my power outlet installed, now have a flashing airbag light. Tried both the clearing methods I found on the forum...no joy. Any "Cusser Secrets" that might help??

THANK YOU. Cusser. I will do what you suggested. Now to be clear, you suggest all fuses both in cab and under good, am I correct?

    Hi
From what I have read, i think you have changed your valve cover gasket on your 4 cylinder 1998 Frontier before. I am about to change mine. My question to you is: The gasket is a "all in one" gasket with the 4 cam plugs and the complete gasket is rubber. Did you use any RTV on this gasket any where on it OR on the whole gasket? Normally, on a rubber gasket you are not supposed to use any thing but I want to do this once.

    thanks
    chris
