I use it mostly for music, but it is plenty visible even in daylight..Its not that much smaller than a double-din screen.

Only about 1/4 the size :P but yeah I had a similar setup for awhile. Till I got an asus eee laptop(tiny 9") ASUSTeK Computer Inc. .

I think my next step will be to get a 7" LED lit touch lcd. Fab that into where the stereo goes and use the eee as my carputer. Full out it only draws 3amps max. With a usb sound card and a 4way amp it'll make a nice system.

seems like the passengers would have a hard time seeing that 4 inch screen, you might be better off buying a portable dvd player from walmart for $70 and letting them watch that with it in their lap
