Pick up Leather interior tomorrow

Hey dudes,

Got the truck back from the panel shop today after some decided to use the back of the truck to stop.

So I can now go pick up the rear seat, front door panels and the two Recaro Style Topline Seats that I have had done in Dark Granite Leather with Red Stitching.

I know this post is no good with out pictures.

Will get the door panels and Rear seats back in tomorrow night and will try to get some pic's posted.

I am off OS for a week on Friday so hope to get the seats in next weekend.

And yes I will post PIC'S.

Cheers

Well spent the weekend hoping to get the new Leather Recaro's in to the car.

Not as easy as I thought. Removing the runners of the old seats took about 4 hours to do one seat. Why they Spot Weld, Pin Weld and Rivet both side I have no idea.

Anyways, got to the point where the passengers seat is in but still need to paint the four plates that connect the runners to the seat, connect the power and modify the handle that releases the runners so that you can slide the seat back and forth.

The one thing that I did find, is getting out of the car is a little harder as your leg catches on the bolster.

But happy to live with as the seats are so much better.

Will continue the install next weekend as I am off the New Zealand for 2 days on Tuesday.

And yes, I will post pic's.

Cheers

Recaro's in and yes......PIC'S

Hey dudes,

After the bloody factory seats fighting me at every point, I finally got the Recaros in.

The pain was removing the original seats from the mounting brackets so I could fit the new seat sliders. I have know idea why Nissan would rivet, spot weld and then pin weld these. In all each side was held in 8-10 points.

Anyways almost complete, just need to redo one of the lift bars that work the sliders as the passenger seat is a little hard to slide.

The upholster even put the Recaro Logo on the back seats.

Overall, I think the result is superb, would not no that it was not done in the factory.

Cheers

Looks good.

Some people don't like it, but to me, there's nothing better than leather interior.

very very nice....I'm assuming that you bought new front seats and modified the bracket to fit but what about the back seats? I didn't know they make them? Did they have to be custom made? or modified to achieve the same look?
