Pathfinder Audio/Phone and Cruise Control Steering Wheel Control Installed

It took me a while to find these, but I purchased them from Fontana Nissan and installed them on my '05 Frontier. Pics attached.

I wanted these because the silver matches the silver on the Pathfinder window control bezzels installed. I want to slowly incorporate more silver into the interior since the all grey interior can be kind of a bore to look at. Plus, my exterior is silver so it all kinda flows.

So I installed them. They obviouly fit perfectly. Only thing is, the buttons don't work. The only one that does anything is the Answer/Hang Up Phone button, which makes the cruise control and set lights to turn on but blink the whole time. So i'm not sure if it's a bad set of controls, or if they need to be rewired/reprogrammed?

I do have an aftermarket headunit and i know that won't work without an adapter, but I thought at least the cruise control buttons would work.

Has any tried this install before?

ya i did this mod. i followed a post from a fellow member who did a very good write-up. my layout consists of vol up/ down, track up/down, mute, and power, which was standard with the rockford/fosgate package so I am not sure about your bluetooth functions.

with ur aftermarket headunit you will need a specific "pac adaptor" based on the brand of your headunit so the buttons can learn specific functions such as volume control, mute, etc.

In addition you will have to rewire the wires on the harness and match them up to another harness underneath the steering wheel. it seems confusing when you see the writeup it will make sense. I was advised to use a volt-meter since my wiring was slightly different.

Not sure how much this matters - but your On/Off and Cancel buttons for the cruise control are in opposite locations from where they are on my truck's OEM spots.

I agree. The on/off button on my wheel is in the middle and the cancel button is on the bottom.

Nope, no lights. I think Scott from Fontana Nissan said those were available though.

BTW i just realized my horn doesn't work!!!

I wasn't going to re-wire everything because really the only thing i lost was cruise control functionality, and i never use cruise control. i just liked the look of the silver matching the silver on the window control bezels, but now i'm thinking i should re-wire everything now that i now i don't have a horn. It's pretty dangerous to be driving without a horn.

the horn works when i lock the doors, just not when i physically push the horn on the steering wheel.

anyone have any thoughs on wiring for the horn?

I swapped a leather wheel from a LE onto my SE. Need to check your connections and make sure everything is tight. not sure what to tell you on the blue tooth though. Good luck.

those WILL light up, you just need to find the right pin out in the harness and run an extra wire from another switch.

i would really like to do this but tracing the pins is too much of a headache.
