I have always run Husky Liners until I bought my Frontier and went with the WeatherTechs. Love both of them.

My parts man told me putting the rubber mats on top of the factory carpeted mats would pull the fibers out of the factory mats? Any experience? I'd like to have rubber for incliment weather, but keep the carpet most of the time.

For those who get them (carpeted) dirty, use warm soapy water, a brush and a wet dry vac and they come out good as new and dry. Rinse the soapy water before vacuuming, of course.

I can understand the rubber mats pulling fibers but the WeatherTechs are a vinyl type mat. Mine have been in the truck for almost a year over the Nismo mats with no problems. The Nismo mates and carpet still look brand new.

I have the Frontier carpeted mats and run rubber mats on top in my '06. Zero problems with the rubber pulling the carpet. Whenever I take out the rubber the Frontier mats look brand spanking new. I've done this truck like that for one year, and my '98 Frontier I did the whole nine years I had it. I kept the rubber mats and the Factory mats in that truck looked perfect when I sold it.
