Yea my buddy who sells cobra stuff basically says that you are better off getting another antenna. Cobra isn't exactly leading the market with antenna sales, thus they don't put much into them.

Update:
I have just about finished the install of my midland 75 CB. I went out to the truckcity CB shop in Milton, wa (just north of Tacoma) and got a Wilson 'Lil Wil antenna with the magnetic base mount. i did pretty much like NismoCC and put it between the roof racks, down the back window, into the vent behind the back seat, under the door trim pieces, up the kick panel, zip tied under the steering column and zip tied the connection point under the dash on next to my right leg. Last Sat, I went back and had them tune the antenna for me. The only thing left is to find a mount to bolt to the dash so I hook the handset to. I didn't see one in the box the radio came in.

You can always do what I do and just hang it over the steering column when it is not in use (I take mine out when not on the trails, though, so this might not work for you - i have the cobra 75wxst)

I have an old cobra, its big but I know that it will always work for me. Blackwidow installed one in his and I wish I thought of his location on dash before i drilled mine into back side of console. Check out his picks on his projects page.
