Well, I went to pick up my truck from the dealership today....

In an earlier thread, i detailed the problems i had obtaining warranty service for my truck...

(read if you're interested...wish me luck...took my 05 frontier in for service)

So, I go to pick it up today. They've had it for 8 days. Service department closed at 6pm so they left the keys and paperwork with the sales guys for me to pick up.....and as i'm walking out to my truck I saw this..

That...was most certainly NOT present when i dropped the truck off last monday morning. I'm very, very unhappy now. I was so frustrated that I left my truck there, refusing to drive it off their lot. Sales guys said I would have to talk to the service manager tomorow and that they couldn't do anything, which is understandable.

Anybody have experience with anything like this?

What looks particularly su****ious about this is the way the paint seems to have separated from the primer (as in poor adhesion in an area that might have been previously damaged and poorly prepped before it was repainted). This doesn't look like a normal scratch.

The same thing happened with my truck...but they only had it for 4 hours? went out to my truck and saw a huge chip...right under my door handle....for a couple of seconds i played around with it...assuming it was just from the car wash...but my nails went deep...i was p/o but luckily they believed i wasn't to blame and fixed it...

That saux big time.Looks like the paint is laminating and lifting like Bwarrens. His started exactly the same way and only got worse.
I have already started to ball rolling to get my paint fixed. Nissan called in the guys from PPG to check mine so best you get someone to check yours .
