Weight limits for bed
I have a 05' frontier quad cab 4x4. I dropped my new (to me) yamaha big bear quad in the bed and the springs were quite compressed. What is the allowable limit for weight in the back? The quad is supposed to weigh about 580 lbs. Thanks. Any feed back from guys hauling quads in the short box would be appreciated too.

The 2005 + Crew Cab Frontier's payload varies from 1,098 pounds to 1,482 pounds, and the King Cab's varies from 994 pounds to 1,583 pounds depending on trim and transmission. best bet is to refer to your trucks owners manual.
regarding 4-wheeler should be no problem, just becareful with to much weight on the tailgate and put a couple zip ties around where it connects. have heard people saying thiers fell off.
