Volant problem
OK, I posted the other day about my pinging issue, blah blah blah 91 octane blah blah blah. If I have to run it then so be it.
Installed the Volant intake yesterday, 95 miles driven and it bogs pretty bad below 3.5K. After that sometimes it takes of like a striped ape and other times it continues to bog. It even backfired through the intake manifold today when I punched it from a rolling stop. Has anyone else's truck acted similarly after installing an intake? I only have around 40 miles until I hit 36K so PLEASE give me some advice, opinions, etc. |

Did you put the maf (mass airflow sensor) back in correctly, or did you touch it or get it dirty? If it's dirty or not in right it can cause problems like bogging.

I was extremely carefull w/ the MAF sensor. Everything is installed correctly.

What I am trying to say is that my truck is probably running lean, and has been. Why else would I be one of the few that have probs w/ 87 octane?
I also get pretty lousy gas mileage, 16.5 on average, driving conservatively. I put on the Volant= way more air= more pinging= bogging and backfires. Will the dealer be able to fix my fuel to air ratios? If they can fix for the stock intake, will this transfer to the Volant? |
