I still don't think that proves it. The Plenum is plastic and the IMS is metal. THey are not the same. Will, just hopes to "test" long enough that people start to forget about the problem and he can agin start collecting money off people for the next group buy. Who's to say he's really doing anything but waiting out the situation. I still say 4+ sets of gaskets or more to the guys having problems is alot cheaper than negative feedback which is what will happen if he turns his back on the people who have already bought from him. He has made over 30,000.00++ dollars off us and this is how he wants to treat his customers??

The Nissan gaskets are $20 each and you need 3 of them. $60 total. A bit much in my opinion for him to replace for a $200 part and for people who probably over torqued(which some people admit) or didn't properly secure the Upper plenum. Or even if thats not the case, Just use RTV to fix the problem. It's not a big deal. It WILL NOT HURT YOU TRUCK and it worlks just as good or better than regualar gaskets. You people are seriously over reacting. I bought a $5 dollar tube of High Temp RTV & I replaced my TBS gasket and have plenty left over if I ever decide to replace my IMS gasket, which I'm having no problems with, and I was part of the same group 3 too. And he hasn't made 30,000 dollars profit from us. This has been his main job for the last 6 months. Considered His CNC company and his main or only source of income 30,000 isn't that much when you consider all the materials he has to buy. Marine grade aluminum isn't cheap. He has to pay Jaime to assist him. I'm sure he has to pay quite abit for his shop and for his equipment up keep. After that there isn't that much profit left over. I don't think he is handling the IMS situation badly. No matter what he says or does you people wont like it or accept. He's fighting a losing battle with people like you. I have the IMS and love it. I have his TBS and love it. When I had a tuning issue with the TBS he gave me his cell # so that we could figure out what my problem was. We talked and came up with a possible solution. I then tried his sugestion and it fixed my problem. How many other performance makers out there will give you their personal cell # ? What most people can't grasp is that he is about the only performance oriented company who is going out of his way to help Frontier owners by designing & making high quality performance items when nobody else out there cares about us. The fact is Will makes great quality products for a fairly small market. He isn't a huge company like Stillen or Flowmaster and cant spend thousands of dollars trying to design a single product for a small market the size of ours. He works with the owners from the start of the design concept, to the CNC proto types, and through to the awesome completed products and usually in a very short time period compared to any other perfomance part builder. I personal don't wait for a year for one simple product. I know his products are high quality and are as safe for our trucks as any performance part can be. And now thanks to the cryers here, any other companies are going to be wary of coming to our VQ40 market. You crybabies need to grow up & leave alone one the best things to happen to the Frontier aftermarket. Without people like him trying to make high quality products for us like he has the last 6 months, then where does that leave us??? We'll bit &hit out of luck

X2....I have been very happy with both the IMS and TBS and no problems. Only about 500 miles on them but have pulled everything to check and everything is perfect. I torqued to 8 lbs using the proper sequence out of the FSM and pinched the bracket with the bolt to support the plenum. The power and smooth acceleration are . Can't wait for the crank pully!!!
This was the 2nd and 3rd independent dyno testing done. Once in Atlanta, GA made 0whp and no change in AFR. The 2nd in Baton Rouge, LA and it made no change either, .9whp was after the car cooled off. The 3rd in Colorado on a bone stock se-r sentra, -2whp. Just goes to show that NOT ONLY does he alter his dyno numbers (for the one test he did) but also that he tried to use a fraudulent graph that nissansportmag gave to him, they claimed their dyno was uncalibrated which is why the hp/tq didnt cross in the proper spot, yet Will used this dyno for months and months AFTER knowing that fact.
BE CAREFUL WITH BUYING PRODUCTS FROM THIS GUY!!! I see the problems are in the titan, frontier, g35, 350z and sentra communities. He has nissans on lockdown, in a BAD way!

im glad you think were seriously over reacting and couldnt you think of something better than that?
either way the situation is to be resolved still! and im just going to fix it myself by what ive already said. not going to wait but im surely not using the gaskets it came with and im even thinking of not chamfer the edges or even worrying about tq'ing-although im still going to follow it-cause neither of that is the issue.
and as far as i can see you havent removed your to check right? so therefore you wont know if you have gasket failure or not.

I think I got one of the extras from GB3, I went in on it right after it closed but Will said he could make me an extra. The gaskets were the exact same color as the plenum gaskets and came in bags with the part#14032-ea200.
^^^^thanks for your response. then its very possible only some got bad gaskets or maybe it is a different problem but i still dont think so. as prev post install variance or sharp edges considering they are all made the exact same shouldnt be the problem here. gasket bags all have the same number but if everyone remember correctly there were some that got theirs early like me cause there had to be a new batch of gaskets ordered. and as prev posts there are gaskets ordered from all over and different places so its really going to be practically impossible to tract the area or group of bad gaskets and where they came from.
best solution for those who are worrying is to take it off and check and for those who havent installed use different gaskets from nissan.
Well I WAS part of GB 3. And no I haven't pulled the Plenum up yet. It would be senseless too do so. If I am not having problems at all with it and if it does have problems no harm will happen to me or my truck. It would be kind of like pulling my valve covers just to see if nissan installed the gaskets right. Wouldn't make much sense huh? If my gaskets ever do go bad, so what, I will just replace it with RTV. My life won't end and my truck will keep chugging along everyday like it does now. I did remove my TBS when I was removing my TB screen. and OMG!!! the gasket broke when removing it. OMG!! what will I do now!!!! My life is ending!!!!. Well I had to break down and write a HUGH check for $599.00 for some HIGh TEMP RTV after traveling 100's of miles to the auto store through a raging hurricane, on bald tires, in my mothers 1990 3 cyl metro, and at night time just to get it. Then I spent about 12 hours opening the tube. That part was really difficult. Once I got it open I had to get my dad and all my brothers to help apply some to the TBS. It took two of my brothers to just lift the hood. That thing is really heavy. My dad had to tighten all the bolts since he was the only one strong enogh to do so. I was almost crying buy the time I was finished. Sounds pretty pathetic huh???? Of couse it only took about 30 minutes, travel time included, and whopping 5.99 to fix my HUGH PROBLEM. You guys just don't get it. When you do mods to a vehicle, $hit happens sometimes. If it does, fix it. Simple. If you dont understand that then you shouldn't be touching your truck. Just leave it stock. Leave the mechanic work to somebody who knows the difference between a wrench and a screwdriver.

Like I said, this whole escapade is a lesson on human nature rather than hp or customer service. It concerns me that the ClubFrontier Board has not "caught on" to the game. It will be the ultimate FAIL if the allegations of MajorMod have any basis in fact. Is it that Frontier owners are slow on the uptake?
The dramatic tension is heighten by the sponsoring realtionship WRP has with this Board. Integrity, freedom of speech, and an open forum should be the brand qualities CF strives to achive. We shall see.

Uber Ghey.
With the gaskets coming from sources all over the place, I'm gonna have to go with... bad batch. So it sounds like Will is not going to eat the bill for replacement sets and I think it's too much of a pain in the *** for him to track down the source for warranty. I did just recieve a tube of RTV in the mail (Gee, thanks) I am still not happy with the customer service though. To all of you who are making Will out to be some kind of Angel, don't kid yourselves. He is not making performance parts for you out of the goodness of his heart, he wants your $$$$$$. Big, or small, it's still business. Customer service should be #1 regardless of the size of the company. I had plans for many more parts from WRP. "had" is the key word here. I'm done.
