ok so today is Saturday, i still don't have my truck back, had the loaner car for 2 days, called me Thursday and said that there is another leak, the timing chain cover was leaking too, so they will need the truck for another day.......ok so i have this versa for another day, soooooo they called me Friday and told me that its not going to be today, they need it longer, they wont have it back together by the end of Friday, Monday will be finished up, but they need the car back. she did get me a rental truck for the weekend tho, and f150 ecoboost, which i thought was odd to get me a ford from a Nissan dealer, but ok. Anyway that's whats happening to this point
They're screwing you, first its this, then its that, now it's something else. Probably just spilt oil filling it up after the oil change. Business is slow, so lets tear apart somebody's engine and mail the bill to Nissan.

Imo anyway
If Nissan is anything like Hyundai, they don't just write blank cheques for warranty work. Anything out of the ordinary, and that is just about everything, is scrutinized to death before there is any payout on warranty work as described by the OP. That's why it takes so long to get it done sometimes, the dealer is making sure his @$$ is covered.
As far as the loaner/rent-a-Ford, kudos to the dealer for covering it for you. As mentioned they are under no obligation to do so, but customer satisfaction goes a long way to keeping their reputation in the plus column. Kingston not being a big market, they need to keep as many of their customers happy as they can and a free ride is a good way to spread goodwill. Our dealership has 6 courtesy cars and a shuttle and we provide emergency jump starts, tire fills or changes and the like all in the name of customer service. We have a lot of loyal GM owners, we were Pontiac Buick GMC before GM pulled the rug out and we switched to Hyundai, who refuse to go the GM store in town mainly because they continue to get great service at our shop.
I'm still not at my first service yet, but will probably go with where I work for the regular oil & filter stuff. The Nissan store will get any warranty work though
Sorry you are having such a rough time of it. "We don't have the gaskets in stock"......WTH?!? This whole situation seems weird. I agree on that some of the slowness is the dealer getting permissions. I have run into this myself.
I am at 3 years and 30,000 miles and the only non-maintenance issue I've had has been a battery replacement due to dimming lights when I apply the brakes. This cured the problem for maybe the last 5 months but it is coming back. So a a high power battery and a high power alternator upgrade is on the list.
Good luck and keep us posted. We feel for you buddy. Cheers!
This whole situation seems very strange, I think there definitely taking you for a ride.
There is no way all of those things are leaking "all of a sudden" on such a new truck. Even if your not mechanical savy, still demand to see all these leaks and then if you don't know how to determine whats leaking from what part then take it to another dealership.
Don't be surprised if you get your truck back and your stuck with a bill that is outside of your warranty work.

Or maybe the dealer is going through this truck with a fine tooth comb to find any little problem and fix it before you get into the lemon law area with it. Personally I would feel happy with the service that is being given. they provided you with a vehicle to drive while your truck is in for service and they appear to be finding additional issue that you did not know you had. Good luck with everything and enjoy your truck when you get it back.

One would hope so, but for anyone who is somewhat mechanically inclined....it is not right for your head gasket, oil pan, timing chain, drive axles, and front diff to all be leaking. All of these leaks are so called "popping up", they either ****ed up or are mis-diagnosing it.
The second a dealer tells me all those things are leaking after my truck has never leaked a drop of oil (like the OP said) I would have been out the door.
And now after hes had a oil change and is about to go in to get the leaks fixed he conveniently notices oil dripping in his garage.
Regardless even if the OP gets the truck back all fixed with no charge, take it to another dealership and get them to check everything over and tell them your situation about all the leaks.
