Nitrogen is so much better because it doesn't expand/contract, or condnsate on the inside of your tires!

TPMS on spare tire (Rotation question)

For a 2006 Frontier NISMO could a sensor be added to the spare to allow for 5 tire rotation?

Will having 5 sensors cause any issues for the TPMS system?

How much is a sensor?

No, adding a transmitter to the spare will not allow you to include it in the rotation without the light activating. From what I have read about the system in the service manual any new transmitter added to the system would require registering that transmitter so it can be read by the remote keyless entry module and BCM. You actually have to register all 4 when you replace one. For that reason having one in the spare would require you to take your truck to the dealer to activate that new transmitter every time you rotated your tires. That could prove to be expensive. I hope that answered your questions.

Me too! I bought a lifetime balance and rotation package from Goodyear that includes the Nitrogen in the tires, and they hold pressure very well and are pretty immune to temperature fluctuatons. Needless to say, I've never had a problem with the TPMS either.

If you check the owners manual, it says the light will come on at 28 psi. Mine did, I brought it up to pressure (35 psi) and the light wnet out after several miles of driving.

same here both times it happened. actually, last time I brought them up to 38psi. I think next year I'll just bring them up to 38psi in october and preempt the warning light altogether.

(Thanks InYourFace1650)

Also, some 285/75/16's will rub (with stock wheels) with a 2" lift, some will not. (Please stop asking this 6x a week and in every tire thread.)

Mine came on at 30psi.

Mine came on once because I had a screw in one of my tires and it was at 25psi. It went off after half a block when I inflated it. Otherwise, no problems at all since I never let my pressure drop below 33psi.

My light came on yesterday and I found a nail in one of my tires. It had about 25psi in it. I aired it up to 37psi and drove it until the light went off. I took the tire off to have it patched and put the spare tire on. I drove the truck to the tire store and the light has not come back on yet even though there is no transmitter in the spare tire. I was surprised to find the spare had 40psi in it.

The guy from PowerTank is doing a comparo of Nitrogen, CO2, and good ol' air. And they are finding out that there isn't really much difference in the expansion rates. So the Nitro tires may be something to brag about but they really don't mean much in terms of performance.
