I am so happy you all walked away from this. The rear of the cab sure took it's share of the impact. As a parent I can imagine how relieved you must be that he is ok, but at the same time I have no idea what it is like to have a wreck with a child in the vehicle.
You need to make certain that you all are fine and speak to an attorney to make sure you are given EVERYTHING you are entitled to and not a cent less.
As someone posted above the other insurance should go out of their way to make sure you are compensated fairly. Did the last Frontier have side air bags in it? That is one thing I wish I had gotten, but that truck was sold the day before I could buy it.
Best of luck to you and your family.

First off - Im glad everyone walked away "alive" and mino injuries.

Nissan needs to reengineer these trucks. From looking at those pics if I or any large adult was in the rear they would be really injuried or possible death. The roof line is lower than the headrest. I work at a Law Firm w/ all kinds of personal injury cases and this is a fine example. I bet you Nissan went back and messed with the framing of the pillars/roof to make it cheaper on them by using 'cheaper metal' and also did other 'modification' of the beams to make them lighter. I'm sorry, but this scares me now! I would rather have a few extra pounds of metal and protect me rather than this. Not only that, but this was not even a high speed roll over. the f-150 owner clipped you while you was driving to the median to get away which mean the force that was applied the the roof/pillars was not that strong. I could go on and on but I wont. Just glad everyone was ok.

Edmunds, Consumer Reports and the like are always way behind the curve in reporting average transaction prices. Keep in mind truck sales are WAY OFF this year. Dealers are desperate for sales. If you're looking at a $30k MSRP LE with a $2500 rebate going in you should be able to get at least another $2500 off that for a net cost of $25k plus fees. Take your time and shop the hell out of it.

Then be scared.

I've been on this forum for over 2 years, and have seen some really nasty accidents, and I've never heard of anyone being HURT after any of them. Everyone has walked away. I'm perfectly confident. as is the owner.

Anyway, glad everyone is alright, sucks that you had it for so short of a time .

Amazing. You and your family should have gotten out and kissed this dear Earth!!! I'm glad you guys are OK. I've had 2 cars totalled by people rear-ending me and can honestly say, you are MUCH better not seeing it coming most the time as your body muscles will flinch and tighten up resulting in much greater damage and longer recovery times.

Whatever you do, don't sign ANY settlements, as you won't know the full extent of the damage to your bodies for up to a year or more. My last accident I never saw coming yet suffered back injuries when the seat collapsed backwards and then I submarined under the seat belt after hitting the tank in front of me. After physical therapy for almost 2 months I felt better, but after a year much of the pain returned and I still deal with it daily and will never get over it I think. If you feel over whelmed don't be afraid to seek legal assistance to represent you interest, as the insurance companies don't give a damn about their customers, only their money. This is even more important give the fact that you have your wife and child to consider as well as it is hard to find out what really hurts from a child often.

Good luck, and keep us posted!
