Oh i know, but i also test drove an SE and it was just as harsh. the flip side is that they handle superbly for a truck.

Make sure you get the Storm Grey color. They are faster than all other color Frontiers.

Sorry, that's no excuse for mediocre seat design.

I noticed the same thing with the seats when I first test drove the frontier SE. For everything the truck came with I was expecting a little more comfort at first, but after a couple days of driving I really got use to the seats and never thought of it until I read you mentioning it. It is nice how the seat back can recline down almost flat but it was hard to find just the right angle to fit me while driving, after I found that sweet spot I enjoyed the feel of the seat. But to put it in perspective I had a buddy spend a 2 hour drive in the back jump seat and tell me how suprisingly comfy the ride was compared to how it looked. For some reason I didn't believe him.

As they say theres a butt for every seat..... IMO even though I only have an SE the seats are 10X's better than the ones I demo'd in the last SR5 '08 Tacoma Double Cab a month ago. And actually more comfortable than the seats in my wifes '08 Mercedes. To date I've logged 3800 miles on my '08 after picking it up last month and can't find anything wrong with the seats yet.

After driving my Pathfinder for a year and a half and my Frontier for five months, I have no issues with the seats in either truck. Both have power seats in them. My last two Frontiers were first generation with manual seats and were perfectly acceptable to sit in for long periods of time.
Can you rent or borrow a dealers truck for a day or weekend to be sure if it's right for you? Good luck.
