Spotter/Backup cam. Help me build it!

Ok kids I just made a deal with my wife. She bought some stupid diet crap and the deal was I get to blow the same amount on something silly.

So I chose to build a spotter cam! I want to mount 2 waterproof color/IR cameras under the fronty and a dual input rearview mirror monitor. So When I shift into reverse I can see the rear axle and tires. This will come on automatically when I shift into reverse or I can select that video input. The second video input will be facing forward to see the front tires.

This should function as a backup cam as well. I also found bluetooth mirror/monitors as a silly add on toy.

The trick is finding the right cameras that are cost effective along with a mirror that has a factoryish look.

Here is where you come in....help me track the stuff down on ebay. I would like to buy from the US (Had Hong kong Items never show up). I can go over 150 but its on my dime then. If you dont think this will work pipe up and holla at me. I may of missed something in my planning.

This will be so handy off road. Thanks in advance for helping, you may find something I missed.

I'll keep an eye out but I think coming in under 150 might be a bit optimistic.
I'd like to see it done though.

Don't know if this what you are looking for but, Kohls has cams for trailer hook-ups which mount on the license plate for about $80-$90 in their auto section. Maybe you can hook them differently and add a cam to the system to do what want. Mike

you would need a cam for each wheel not just one per axle. plus if its showing you the wheels its not gonna work very well as a back up cam since a back up cam needs to be mounted so it sees behind you not under you. you would need 4 cams min to see all 4 wheels plus a screen that would show a split screen or you would need to run dual screens, and that aint gonna happen for $150.

Thats it Jay! but on a budget.
I found rearview mirrors on ebay with a built in monitor and 2 a/v inputs for abouit 120 all I have to do is add the second cam for $25.

I think I'm gonna order everything now.
