Screw for microfilter/in cabin size requested

I tried to find the info but fell short.

As you probably know, short of a miracle, it's about impossible to remove the microfilter/in cabin filter door without breaking the plastic tab.

So, now that I have a broken tab, I need a screw, but it didn't come with one. Does anyone know the size of that screw? Thread pitch / length?

If no one does, I'll have to try to remove the "clip" to take it for a fitting. It's awful small back there, help a guy out.

Thanks in advance!

I too broke the tab holding the door closed. I didn't mess around with getting something factory, I just used (I think) a 1/4"-20 bolt and nut, probably about 1" long - real cheap fix! With that size bolt, I had to drill out the through hole in the door, but fitting the 1/4" diameter through the slot in the plastic housing that the door meets up to is not a problem (you'll know what I mean when you try it). Put the bolt in this orientation; head away from you, threads towards you. The head of the bolt should be onthe other side of the slot. Rotate the door up to the bolt, and put the bolt through the drilled-out hole in the door. Then put the nut on the bolt. I used a phillips pan head, and just prayed that the bolt wouldn't turn when I went to tighten the nut. It worked out OK

Hope my description was good enough. Let me know if it wasn't, and I might take a picture tonight.
