roof rack fairing

Hi All,

I'm new here and this is my first post. Just bought a new (to me) '05 LE CC. Loving the truck right now but need to fix the squeeky leaf spring and the rattling thing under the hood at 2k rpm. Anyway, my only gripe about the truck is when I have the sunroof open, it's pretty loud. I was wondering what others have done about this? I wonder if the fairing from the older frontier or the newer Xterra would fit? I have the roof racks and getting a sunroof deflector in there doesn't seem viable because of the space issue. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Supposedly there is a technical service bulletin about this. Check out this link.

no, not yet. I just bought the truck a few weeks ago so when I take it in, I'll have it checked out. My good friend's dad is the master tech at the dealer so he can check it out and not give me the "I don't here anything" crap.

I had that noise at 2000rpm as well. All I did was print off the TSB on the problem and took it in to the dealership and told them to fix it and they did.

If you hold the trucks rpms at 2000-2100 It should consistently do it.

2 days? That sucks. I didn't think that TSB would take that long. I would make sure that is actual working time and not time for them to figure out exactly what the hell to do, or to order parts.

I know there has been a lot of people that got this done (I don't know if it was this forum or not). How long did it take?
