Radiator to fix our cross contamination has been FOUND!

Hey all,

After a lot of research, finally I have located a radiator that is supposed to fix the dreaded cross contamination issue us Frontier owners face.

Certified Transmissions - 5 Year / 100,000 Mile Warranty Since 1985.

These guys make the radiator. It is their "Heavy Duty" Nissan radiator for the Frontier, Xterra, Pathfinder, etc.

I sent them this email:

To whom it may concern:
>
> I have a 2010 Nissan Frontier and am a member of an internet forum dedicated to the overall discussion of them. I have been searching online for quite some time now for a better fix of the known trans/coolant cross contamination issue. I ran across this video and decided I would contact you:

I am very interested in that design as it appears that it would fix the issue that plagues our vehicles (Frontier, Pathfinder, Xterra, etc.) and prevent the issue from happening in the future.

I personally have not yet had the dreaded malfunction happen to me, but I am looking for a radiator with a better design that I can install before I have any such problem. Would I be able to buy a radiator from you that is designed like the one in the above video to install myself?

Please let me know as many, many others on the internet forum may be interested in purchasing a radiator with your improved design for themselves as well as me.

Thanks so much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Jared

THEIR REPLY:

Jared,

We did not go out and have the intention of selling our radiator by itself. It was to protect our rebuilt transmissions. However, due to the number of requests both written and by phone, we have decided to start selling our radiators to help get our cost down. Currently, the HD radiator is $421.06 plus installation.

However, if you wanted one, we would only add whatever the UPS store charges us to ship it. We take all major credit cards and debit cards.

Again, here is the video displaying what improved design I'm talking about.

Mods, can this maybe be a sticky? I'm sure others will be interested in this.

Feel free to discuss below!

I may be replacing my Spectra.

Nope.

I have a 2010 and just got a letter from Nissan a couple weeks ago explaining that my warranty had been extended as well.

I have part # 21460ZL11A which is the updated part.

Just out of curiosity as i have a 2010 model as well, I though the only years affected were 2005-2008 MY vehicles. Am I wrong in that assumption?

Edit: nevermind....
