Question about trailer hitch

Hey guys, I've been thinking about getting a trailer hitch for a while now and was looking online today and saw this one:

2006 Nissan Frontier Curt Receiver Hitches, Curt Hitch Receiver

I think it sounds like a pretty good deal, especially with the free shipping, but I don't know much about the brand. Any input??

My Wife bought my hitch from the local dealership, uh cough, stealership, she paid 260 plus state tax and i got the hitch and the wire kit for that price. the install was nice and easy with everything i needed to install as to what nissan wanted it to be. took me 45 minutes, and 15 of that was b.s.ing with my father in law.

id probably just shuck out the extra bones and get the nissan one. that way you know it is of oem quality and you don't worry about it not fitting properly or drilling any new holes.

I paid $115 for a Draw-Tite one but I work at a yota dealer so I get a discount from the chevy dealer across town that is a draw-tite dealer. Im still kicking myself for not buying a Nissan one as they are not much more I think my cost was $150. Keep in mind to if you buy an aftermarket hitch it wont have the slot for the factory 7pin wiring connector, you will have to make a bracket to hold it up. I just use the factory 4pin and and aftermarket bracket.

Cool...the best place to order the nissan one would be courtesy nissan parts, right?? or would it be better to just go up the dealer and get it there?

Looks like a great price to me. I would also get the wiring from them to. You can get the 4 pin wiring aftermarket that goes from the connector by the spare to the hitch for like $15 but your going to need the jumper and relays so you might as well just buy the factory wiring on there website.

I have the front mounted Curt Receiver hitch and it fit fine, I'm sure the rear mounted ones will too. Its a class 3 rated product so it should be just as good as the OEM one, which courtesyparts is currently selling for $166 without the harness.

Whats your local dealer asking? For the record my aftermarket hitch fits perfect and works great. If your not using the factory 7pin I can recommend going for an aftermarket. Its just those factory 7pin connectors are large and all the aftermarket brackets are way to small and wont fit. If you using a 4pin setup go with the factory wiring and an aftermarket hitch.

Dealer here in town said it would be $220.69, lady in the parts department said she thinks that is with the relay, but wasn't sure.
