Power Supply 12v 2002 Frontier

I had a problem the other day. The charger I use to charge my device came apart in my power outlet. In the process of fishing it out I shorted the fuse out. No problem right? This thing had me stumped until I began reading some of the threads people posted. Then I was really confused! This is the straight dope. There is a Cigarette Lighter fuse in the fuse box on the left side under the steering wheel. It is next to the 20a it is a blue 15a. That was not the one that went south on mine. Which had me bafffled. It was the one behind the battery in the engine bay. A 20a confusing why the 20a burned before the 15a. It is marked Power Supply on the outside of the fuse box markings. Hope this helps Aloha.

This info would be helpful to more people if you post this in the 1st Gen forum.

There is a cigarette lighter socket (which is fused in the fuse panel on the dashboard), and a power socket which is fused in the engine room.
Looks like the power socket should be a 15A fuse, not 20A

Simple. Two different sockets, two different fuses. The fuse you checked that was good was obviously not connected to the socket were screwing with, hence the reason it wasn't blown.
