plowing is as much about weight as anything. 265 ponies is plenty of power.

I wouldnt do it though. plowing is real hard on your front end.

Pretty funny a tundra owner doesn't even expect his truck to do good, or maybe he's afraid of actually using his precious yota for work.

I know the Frontier could plow, easily.
However, plowing is tough on any truck really.
Sounds to me he wants you to tear your rig up so he doesn't have to tear his up.

definitely don't do it. Plowing is HARD on trucks. I used to plow every winter, and those trucks got beat. Not only is it the constant stress of the front suspension and front diff, but also the constant forward and reversing.

In South Dakota most people use 3/4 or 1-ton trucks because of all the stress on the front end of the truck. Usually, a plow truck is not a daily driver either.

Not hyjacking...
My Pops had a plow put on his F150 last year for plowing his driveway. The plow shop was great and gave us a ton of info before we strapped the plow on the front. They told us if we wanted to save wear and tear on the front end that we should get a mid-weight poly plow, not a steel plow. The one drawback is that the full steel plow is much more durable and would be better for commercial application. For us it was a no brainer to go with the poly plow. As far as strapping a plow on the front of your rig that is up to you. As others have mentioned it can damage your front end. One plus is that if he will cover the cost of install and let you keep the plow afterwards (to cover your cost of wear and tear) you wont have to shovel your driveway and could start your own plowing business next winter.
