passenger air bag wiring splice?

on my 2006 frontier. Had a wreck that deployed airbags. On the passenger airbag the wiring at the airbag melted and appears to be completely wired into harness with no disconnect to replace the wiring. I suppose I have to splice in new connectors but can't find thru nissan. Anyone have a source or solution?

Thanks for help, last step before putting truck back on road.

Probably be cheaper to do a splice.

I don't know your experience, but is that something you want to do yourself? Airbag function is pretty important. Plus, why wasn't this taken care of by the insurance co.?

new clocksprings

I am not doing the work myself. Bodyshop was surprised that there wasn't connections for new clock springs on the passenger side. He is still researching so I thought I would throw a message out to the forum for some help. Doesn't make sense that need to replace a wiring harness for passenger side for melted clock springs???

I want to say it is a illegal to repair wiring to the SRS system. The wiring harness would have to be replace.

wiring harness

anyone know where the connection is in the wiring harness to replace for passenger air bag? I would assume there is a connection somewhere at a sensor or something?

bought a service manual and it looks like there is a suplemental wiring harness built into the original wiring harness for the occasion when originals are damaged.
