I have an 09 Frontier CC Le 4x2 in Navy Blue with paint issues! The paint is original, the truck has timed out of warranty but only has 35750 miles. Back in February of this year I had a silver dollar sized chunk of paint the blew off the front edge of the hood, just above the grill. Nissan warrantied that and stripped the hood and repainted it. The shop that did the repair did an excellent job.
Now, 9 months later, I have paint starting to peel in both drip rails on the roof. The drivers side is peeling at the front by the windshield, the passenger side is peeling at the rear. I am anal about all my vehicles when it comes to caring for them. My truck gets washed, by hand, with a microfiber sponge and Meguires car wash, two to three times a week and I wash EVERY inch of it! (As far as I can get between cab and bed too)
The only thing I can do is to contact Nissan to see what they will do, probably nothing. Anyone else having this problem?
Yes, in the roof rails. I haven't tried to push it too hard, but the dealership said "out of warranty".
If I can't get warranty coverage I'll probably try to make do with touch up paint until it's worth a whole repaint.
My 1989 GMC S-15 had the same problem, but it was covered under warranty. It seems paint should be something they would have mastered by now, but I do know that EPA regs are part of the problem. Not that I mind having clean air, but the regs keep changing so no one can used a working solution they are in a constant state of flux trying to keep up with the regulation of the year.

Part of the problem is the crappy "water based" paint the EPA requires auto manufactures to use.
All the car forums are complaining about the brittle and easily chipped paint on their vehicles.
But hey, at least the air we breath is clean.

I have a white one doing the same thing. Started at ~70K miles and just over 5yrs old. There are at least 2 other white ones at work doing the same thing.

I went to the corporate site and filled out the online form with all the info and everything that's has happened to the paint before that they covered while my warranty was in force and what is happening now. I actually have been contacted twice in the last two days and they seemed very interested in my paint problem and they sound like they may cover it!
Of course, I am still not holding my breath, but at least they contacted me and seem genuinely concerned about it. We'll see! I have a case number and contacts from them if I need to call them and she said she would call me Tuesday to tell me what they will do.

Well, the Nissan corporate people called me today and said they would fix my truck! They are going to strip the roof all the way back down to metal and re-prime it and repaint the entire roof. The estimate was just under a thousand dollars to do and they are doing it. I was surprised and over-joyed to hear they would cover it even though my warranty expired in April.
Now that is what I call standing behind your product! THANKS NISSAN!!!
