P0500

Those of you who went to URE remember when my check engine light came on. I looked up a P0500 and like someone though its a vehicle speed sensor malfunction. We cleared the code and it didn't come back on, but any idea what would trip this? If it makes a difference, I have the ABS mod wired up and I had that 'off' at the time which turns off the abs, abls, and speedometer. Oh and I think I backed up pretty fast right before it happened. I probably did 15mph in reverse.
