i'd say either step rails or the cover, both are relatively easy to install and functional the cover may help with gas mileage...

Although on most trucks I would put the cover, the Frontiers are prone to rock chips on the rear fender from the front tires slinging rocks. The step rails help to prevent most of them that would go higher up on the fender. So I would go with the steps first, then the cover.

I have seen some w/o the rails and some w/ rails and both had rock chips on the bottom of the fender but the ones w/o the rails had them all up the side of the fender and it had the stock tires and had splash guards.

Here's a few pics of one without rails and with splash guards and factory 4x4 tires. Truck has 18K miles on it and has been driven down a gravel road one time slowly. The majority of these pecks came off the highway and around town.

This is why I would get the rails.

I have a truck. It gets me from A to B. Why I spend so much money changing it, I will never know. Is there a cure for this disease? I have no idea what I would be using all my money for if there was a cure.
