I have a 2005 CC Frontier now has 61,000 miles on it and the last week or so has been making a noise that concerns me a lot. I haven't had time due to work and schedule to take it anywere yet. When driving usually around 40 mph it makes a noise sounds like transmission or drive shaft area that rumbles and vibrates the entire truck. When it does this if you let off the gas a little or accelerate a little it stops. Does anyone have any idea on what this might be? I have the "Limited" power train warranty to 100,000 miles so hopefully it will cover what's wrong. Thanks in advance for the help.

Try turning overdrive off and see if it makes the same vibration. I think 2wdNismo is right though, The in-radiator trans cooler ruptured allowing the coolant to mix with the transmission fluid. Take it to a shop NOW and you may be able to save the transmission.
Well I started 2 days ago turning the overdrive off when just driving around and when I get on interstate or going about 45 mph clicking on the overdrive. Since I have done this it hasn't made the noise not one time...haha so were do I go from here? keep doin that or get rid of it before something bad happens?

Well first off, do you like the truck? How long could you see yourself keeping it if you didn't have the problem? If the awnser is not long, or your tired of it, just dump it. If you'd like to keep it, your best bet would be to do the radiator bypass Automatic transmission radiator oil cooler bypass Then have the transmission fluid flushed drive for a few days and have it flushed again. It will probably take a few fluid changes to get the water out. Finally, you will probably need a new radiator too.
Well I think I have decided to keep my truck. Now the question is I know I am going to have to spend some money but how much? Anyone know how much its going to run me to get the coolant leaking into tranny problem fixed and everything drained and flushed? I am taking to dealership on Monday to let them diagnose but I have a friend that has a automotive shop that I will probably get to fix it if he can. Thanks in advance for your help.

IF the problem is as the above people state do it immediately as the longer you drive it the more damage is done.
The big IF is since it hasn't been diagnosed I wouldn't panic yet.
Should this issue be a large enough issue then EVERYONE who has had this failure should all collectively contact corporate and make noise. The trans is covered to 60/100,000 miles and I don't care how it happened. Make them replace the trans FREE and I'd eat a radiator, but not both and preferably zero cost to me.

I don't know maybe I didn't read something completely but I had something similar and it turned out to simply be a U-joint. I had to take it in and both u-joints on the rear driveshaft were gone. My truck did the same thing when driving, as long as there was no load/coasting or heavy load of accelerating it didn't make the noise or anything. Nissan's u-joints are not the best quality, even the guys at the dealership said so, but I have a 5/75000 limited powertrain warranty and it was covered on it....Definitely get it checked out soon though. Don't want you to end up like my buddy, his truck had an issue with the driveshaft/transmission and it literally FELL OUT while he was driving down the road.
