No gauges work

I am new to this forum and need some help. I own A1998 Frontier
4cyl mt 4wd. None of my gauges work. No speedo. No tach. No temp.
No gas gauge. My dealer says it is the mother board for the dash. He
also says NISSAN NO ONGER MAKES THE PARTS. I have tried the junk
yard route. Zero. Ebay .Zero. I love the truck. But this dash problem
is driving me to swear. Have owned the truck since new. Low miles.
App 120k from gas purchase records I keep. Is there any hope that
a fix can be found for the dash? I do have some input. LOw fuel lite works. SErvice engine lite also works. seat belt and abs too.

thanks
footlong

I would think you will have to be patient and keep checking the junk yards. I don't know where else to look. Maybe someboby else has an idea. Just keep cheking the junk yards. Good luck footlong!

I searched car-part.com and there is one in kentucky for $40 and one in mass that you have to call for a price. It says they are for the 4x4 MT. Go to that web address, and you have to search under speedometer, not instrument panel. If you can't figure it out, the number for the place in Ky is Hayes Auto Parts USA-KY(Bowling-Green) 1-270-843-4889 1-270-843-1762 and the one in MA is Standard Auto Wrecking USA-MA(Worcester) 1-800-922-8281

Good luck!

Have you checked the fuses by any chance? Check ALL of them. The ones under the dash and the ones under the hood. I'm not sure how truthful the dealer is being with you.

I've seen this problem before on Youtube, but with a newer Frontier. I don't know, but is it similar to this?

There is an excellent chance there is a bad fuse somewhere. Sometimes it is remote and not where you expect. There have been more than a few occasions that the dealer knows less than the great members on here.
Have you checked EVERYTHING?

Actually This Is A Common Fault When Any Inst Pack Goes Bad, And It Is The Circuit Board, Usually A Failure Of Diodes Etc Or An Actual Soldered Connection. You Can Either Find A Recycled Part, Or Now Would Be The Time To Step Up And Build A Custom I Pack To House New Autometer Gauges...want Pics???
