New Truck Vibration

Has anyone purchased a new truck and found it had a vibration between 60-70mph?

I just bought a 2010 Automatic 2wd (2008 was t-boned and totalled). I'm guessing the tires are out of balance. Thought I'd check before I took it in.

Tires are out of balance or the tires might be flat spotted from sitting.

Where do you feel the vibration, in your steering wheel or your seat?

Steering wheel is front tires, seat or feet is rear tires.
My Pathfinder had this issue when new, it was a stick on weight which didn't stick.

I'm taking it in to get the tires balanced today. Sounds like the dealer can radial force balance them. The dealer mentioned they use stick on weights from the factory when I mentioned I didn't see any weights on the outside of the tires.

It feels like it is in the rear. I feel it mostly in the seat.

I remember the driveline in my 08 6sp had plenty of slack, and I can feel it in this 2010 auto as well (diff rears). I guess it is normal and probably intended for a truck.

Sure hope the balancing fixes it. I really liked my 08, sniffle. For some reason my 08 felt a little more nimble than my new one. Maybe it just needs breaking in.

I own a new truck as well, so I decided to drive between 60-80 mph today after reading your vibration problems. I had the same problem with my front seats vibrating, so I'll be making a visit to the dealership in a couple of days. Let me know if they fixed this problem by balancing it out.

Well, they confirmed my rear wheels were out of balance and road force balanced all four. Unfortunately, it still has the vibration. They said it can take 800-1200 miles for flat spot on tires to work themselves out. I didn't have this issue whatsoever with my 2008.

I also keep feeling the driveline slack with the auto. When you come to a stop and the move on you can feel the engine rev slightly before the the rear catches up. I think I'm just oversensitive....

My 05 does it... exactly as described. Never had the tires balanced, it.. believe it or not still has the stock POS bfg's... replacing them here very quickly with new wheels too, I'll worry about vibrations after that lol.
