Need to know Frontier Trim Differences

I tried doing a search for this, but came up empty handed; perhaps my search terms weren't direct enough. At any rate, can anyone tell me the differences between the available Frontier trims (05-07)? This is all I know.....

XE-2.4L; don't need the info on this because I want a V6
SE-V6
NISMO-V6 & a beefed up suspension
LE-V6

I just want to figure out which model would best suit my needs & this is one way to accomplish that. Thanks in advance.

There are different trim levels within each model. Different XE, SE, Nismo, and LE trims.

06 nismo, White, Stock mostly, retrax Pro bed cover custom pipe rack. I thought I had purchased JUST what I wanted...UNTIL I CAME TO CLUBFRONTIER.

My personal opinion is that edmunds.com is one of the best websites for an unbiased comparison.

2006 Nismo
EZDown Tailgate Damper, Brute Force CAI, Navigation Docking Unit, Undercover Tonneau Cover...does it ever end?

Hate to come out of the gate like this, but...did you know Nissan has a website? Nissan USA - Nissan Cars, Trucks, Crossovers, SUVs, Hybrid

They have a sections to both compare Frontier models, and to look at the specs that are nicely arranged to show what comes on which model.

Beyond that, use the "Build Your Own" tool and see if you can get the stuff you want on whichever model you're looking at getting.

Research!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.nissanusa.com/frontier/index.html

can only get 6spd kc or se. le is basically the luxury option with every option interior wise. only NISMO gets the locker, bilsteins, weak tin skid plate that suck!, rockford fosgate pkg, chrome accents interior/with door handlemirrors chrome(except i see they quit putting chrome mirrors on 08's so im not sure about what nissan did to the chrome option).

CALMINI sucks!

yeah, i think any of our posts would be really repeatative and we would neeed to know specific information about you, to determine what is best for you since there are so many options and what not.

i'd try a basic run down but i'd be wasting text.

the only options you cant get on the LE is the locker, skids, and shocks. basically what makes the NISMO a NISMO.

05 LE CC 4X4. SUPER BLACK

The Nisan USA site is your best bet. But here is a good breakdown I found over at the "other" site, excluding XE's.

SE's:

Most SE's (and above) are equiped with the VQ40. there is a good mix of auto's and manuals in this trim level since both transmissions are available in all SE's. manual SE's with the VQ40 recieve the dana 44 knock off axle known as the M226 which is the same axle as the NISMO without the locker. instead it has an open differential. all automatic SE's come with the C200 rear axle which is basically a carry over of the previous model. SE's don't come with a lot of standard options other than powertrain but most have the power package (power windows, power locks, power mirrors, keyless entry), all SE's have standard A/C. from this level and up, shift on the fly 4wd becomes an option. 16" wheels with 265/70/16 tires are standard. on 2005 and 2006 models, alloy wheels were standard. in 2007+, steel wheels became standard and alloys became an option. all CC models use tweeters in the dash while only the "KC Premium Stereo" (the 6 disc changer) uses them in the KC, single disc trucks do not have them factory, though the opening for them is there. all SE's have chrome front and rear bumpers. most CC's (except for stripped down ones) have the utili-trac bed package.

NISMO's:

the nismo model is the "off road" oriented model of the 2005+ lineup. all NISMO's use the VQ40. standard on it are bilstien heavy duty shocks, an electronic locker in the rear, engine, transmission/transfer case, and gas tank skids. the gear ratio in the transfer case is the same as all other 4wd models, the axle ratios differ however. all NISMO models come with the locker equiped version of the M226 rear axle. all CC models (short bed only, all years) are automatic. KC's have the option of manual or auto. nismo's come with a leather wrapped steering wheel and KC manuals get a leather shift knob as well. NISMO models also get a unique interior seat color choice in blue fabric inserts. no other model has this option. it's fairly rare as most people stick to the usualy gray or tan colors. the CC model can recieve the rockford fosgate package which is a 6 disc changer with an external amp that includes two 6" subs underneath the rear driver's side seat. CC NISMO's also have a roof rack as an option. more options become standard with the NISMO trim level. 16" wheels are still standard but they are different from the SE's 16's. the OEM tires on NISMO's are 265/75/16 BFG Rugged Trail T/A's. for 2007 the 6 disc unit added an aux input for mp3 players. in 2008 a bluetooth connectivity package was added as well known as the "technology package". all NISMO's get the utili-trac bed package. early 05 models came with black mirrors, towards the end of the model year they switched to chrome mirrors and door handles. 08's only seem to only get chrome handles, not mirrors. 6 spd KC's also get a clutch bypass switch. included in the traction package for automatic 4x4's is hill start assist and hill decent control (engine braking downhill) along with vehicle dynamic control (VDC).

LE's:

LE's are the top model of frontiers. many options on lower models are now standard. LE's are only automatic. LE's only come with the C200 rear axle. they can be had in KC or CC SB or CC LB. all LE's use the VQ40. all LE's get a leather wrapped steering wheel. all LE's have the power package. all LE's have the utili-trac bed package. all LE CC's have the roof rack. all LE's come standard with 17" alloy wheels with 265/65/17 tires. LE's are the only frontier trim level that can get leather and heated seats (which includes heated side mirrors). all CC LE's have body colored (monochromatic) front and rear bumpers, KC's get the normal chrome bumpers front and rear. 4x4 models with the traction package get the same perks as the NISMO models, VDC, hill start and decent assist

That's news to me. Seriously, though, I saw the differences there as far as the 08 models are concerned, but I didn't know if anything was different from what was available on each model in 05. Auto manufacturers sometimes add features to a new car that wasn't on the same car the previous year.

That's EXACTLY what I was looking for; thanks. It seems like the LE would be the best fit for me as it would be my daily driver, I want to be able to haul a kayak, and I don't intend to go offroading aside from taking the truck to a spot where I would launch said kayak.
