Need help wiring cb!

So I just bought a new cobra 19 ultra III and I need help wiring it so I can get power to the cb. I am a newbie at this and never wired anything before. I would prefer to put the positive end in the fuse box but I will accept any suggestions!

Need help wiring cb!

I have the same cb and wired mine off of the power outlet in the center console since the positive has an inline fuse already

How did you hook it up to the power outlet?

Need help wiring cb!

I tapped into the existing wiring with the tried and true soldered "T" splice topped with shrink tubing. I just used a multimeter to get the positive and negative sides at the factory plug under the center console, I mounted the cb in the center storage area

Need help wiring cb!

Some cb you can buy a power outlet that will connect into the cb then into the charger. $20 give or take. That is what I did on my truck. Running a connex 3400hp 10 meter radio

I tied into the factory wiring on the console side of the plug so if I ever needed to remove the center console

Need help wiring cb!

Oh okay. Is there anyway I can get this done by tonight? And I don't have any soldering equipment. Maybe I can go into the fuse box? Which fuse should I use?

Need help wiring cb!

You can tap in using "T" taps as well if you want but I don't personally trust those connections. You can run it off of the fuse box but I don't see the need to double fuse such a small draw but that's just me

I used T taps and tapped into the back of the power outlet. It's been in for 2 years with no problems.

I added a power outlet plug to the cb power wire. Easy to take out. No real need to have a cb permanently mounted when you're never going to use it on the streets. I velcro mounted so I can slap it into place when going out on the trails and plug power into the power outlet.
